Visitor information

Please note:
Due to the announced renovation work, the standard tours will be modified from August 17 through August 29, 2026 (tentative).
The tour “The Teutonic Order from 1190 to the Present” will be replaced by the tour “Highlights of the Castle.” Some of the stops on the standard “Highlights of the Castle” tour will be modified during this period. The focus will be on the history of the city.

This combination ticket includes admission to Weikersheim Palace and Palace Gardens, including the small palace tour, as well as admission to Mergentheim Residence Palace. The large palace tour in Weikersheim Palace is available for an additional charge of € 2.00. The ticket is validated by a crown stamp at the castle ticket office. The ticket is validated with two crown stamps. The ticket is valid for up to one year after the date of purchase.

Discounts

Reduced admission is available for the following:

  • Children aged 6 and over (also in groups of 20 or more, e.g. school groups)
  • School students up to age 28 with valid student ID (including students at vocational college)
  • University students up to age 28 (with valid student ID)
  • Persons in voluntary military service (with valid military ID)
  • Persons in voluntary social service (voluntary social year, voluntary ecological year, federal volunteer service – with documentation)
  • Persons with a registered disability of 50 or over (with documentation) 

    Anyone aged 15 and over is considered an adult unless eligible for a concession.

Getting there

Please follow the signs at the monument, parking available (for a fee). The palace is a 5- to 7-minute walk from the train station. The entrance to the palace and the Museum of the Teutonic Order is in the palace’s inner courtyard.
